Golden Ticket Item!

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a health nut and I'm not a crazy tree hugger. Once upon a time, perhaps, but these days, I'm just plain Jane trying to make it in life.

*Rarely* am I a product snob, but let me tell you what, if I can find me a good deal AND save my family from chemicals then we've got a golden ticket item!

About a year ago, I stocked up BIG TIME on dish washing packets that were on clearance at Target (and a handy coupon added to it!) and haven't really had to think much about them since. Until the inevitable day when I went to grab one and *gasp* we were out! OUT I tell you! This goes against everything I stand for! Running out of an item is just unheard of in my house.

So you can only imagine my shock when I discovered I was out of dish washing tablets! *gasp again!* You may want to sit down before I tell you this next part...

I had to send my brother out to buy some FULL PRICE, NO COUPON. I KNOW! I about fainted too! Doesn't it just make you light headed to think about all that money I could have saved if I had just paid more attention to my stock pile! *Gasp* - sorry I just had to do it again as this really is a scary story!

So since then, I've been on the hunt for the BEST deal I can find on dish washing tablets. And today, I've discovered not only a good deal, but the Golden Ticket deal.

Amazon.com is quickly becoming my favorite bulk item retailer. Diapers are BY FAR the cheapest than anywhere else along with some other stock up items. They offer subscribe & save items for 15% off and sometimes you can combine that with Amazon Mom for an additional 15% off! It's really quite amazing! I know a few of you are now hooked on Amazon for some of your needs.

Onto the deal...

Amazon has several 7th Generation items for 15% off with subscribe and save. Right now they are offering a 20 count Auto Dish pack for $4.75 (normally $5.59). That would mean each tablet is $0.24 each - about the average going rate, from what I can find.

BUT wait - here's the golden ticket! Until April 30th there is a SPECIAL coupon you can use to score an ADDITIONAL 15% off, bringing the total down to $3.91 = $0.20 each!

$0.20 is the best deal I have found for dish washing packets for any brand!

I don't yet know how they compare to my favorite cascade packets but for $0.20 each, I'm willing to give these bad boys a try! Plus it's FREE shipping!

Redbox Deal!

Apparently, this deal is still going on! So if you didn't snag it, do so now!

Here is a great opportunity to use one of the website's we've talked about in our newsletters!

Are you a fan of Redbox DVD Rentals? I am. They are one night movie rentals for $1 each night. You can find these big red boxes at Walmart, McDonalds, Walgreens and more. We like to search their website for the DVD we want and then reserve it so that when we arrive, it's still there. There is nothing worse than showing up to get a movie and someone else was quicker than you OR the DVD was never in that machine to start with.

For a short time, Groupon (a daily deal website) is having a hidden promotion! Get 3 Redbox DVD Rentals for $1 - That's $0.33 per movie! Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! Plus you can get 3 of these deals. So pay $3 for 9 movie rentals!!

To make the deal even sweeter, go through Ebates and get 3% of your cash back! That's a whopping $0.09!! (don't get too excited) Plus you'll get a $5 sign on bonus just for joining! So a free $5.09 just for paying $3 for 9 movie codes. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a pretty good deal. GET PAID $2 to watch 9 movies!

So, how do you find this somewhat hidden promotion?

1. Create a groupon account. If you already have one, skip to step 3.

2. Close this webpage - open a new one.

3. Log onto, or create an eabtes account.

4. Once logged on, search for Groupon.

5. Click on the "shop now" tab on ebates website next to Groupon.

6. You will automatically be taken over to Groupon's website.

7. Log into your account.

8. Once logged on, above the daily deal for your city, is an ad box. Some random ad that you really don't care about. Above that is a yellow bar and in that yellow bar is your Redbox promotion.

9. Purchase up to 3 bundles (of 3 DVD rentals) at once.

10. Check out.

11. Within a few day's you'll see the credit of $0.09 (every penny counts - literally) plus the $5 sign on bonus (if you've not already gotten it) hit your ebates account. At the end of the quarter, they'll send you a check!

On a side note: I just saw that if you purchase this deal through swagbucks you can earn 80 swagbucks just for going through them! Follow the steps above but instead of ebates, use swagbucks!

American Express Card Holders ...

American Express. Do any of you have an American Express card? We do and we occasionally get free stuff just for enrolling in the various promotions they offer. Target Freezer Deal Part 2

To all my BFF's:

I forgot to mention last night when I was completely caught up in the excitement of CHEAP and FREE freezer food that Target also has jeans on clearance for 75% off. Which means that a lot of their jeans are $5 right now and on target's website you can get a $3 off coupon for Men's wrangler Jeans. Hum....not sure about you, but $2 jeans sounds pretty good to me - if you can find the wrangler jeans.

Oh and they have some boxed diapers on 30% off right now too. Add that with the $7 diapers and wipes coupon that target put out a few weeks ago and stack some Manufacture coupons too and you can get a pretty great stock up deal on diapers and wipes! 0

So what are you waiting for - get over to your target and get some AWESOME deals!

I should mention YMMV - Your mileage may vary - meaning that each target is different with different deals. So my target may have Jeans 75% off but yours may only have them 50% off. And the freezer deal is a regional deal so if you passed that tidbit onto a friend in another state have them check their local ad first to see if the freezer deal is going on in their region.

Target Freezer Deal Part 1

My fellow thrifties!!

Have you seen/experienced the target deal happening right now? I went tonight and boy did I stock up! Target is having a buy ANY 7 freezer items, get a $5 gift card free! Match their ad deal with coupons and the gift card and you can walk away with some FREE or very cheap freezer items for your home! I love it! Plus if you need a filler, you can always grab a $0.99 single serving of Ben & Jerry's ice cream! Yum Yum.

We walked out the store with 28 freezer items for $6 after coupons!! Let me say that again - 28 FREEZER items for $6. The girl in front of me was much better and got about 28 freezer item for a QUARTER! Ok, so she MUST be a stay at home mom who has endless hours to research deals because I sure didn't get it down to a quarter! But still who can complain about $6 for 28 freezer items?!

OH and you can roll this deal into itself or do it all at once. You can do all 28 items at once and the cashier will give you 4 $5 gift cards or you can do 7 items, get a $5 gift card, pay and then do 7 items, use your $5 gift card, pay and get another $5 gift card etc.

Doesn't this deal just make you want to go out and buy a second freezer. I sure am considering it - now I just have to convince the hubby that this is a good idea (especially with us trying to sell the house!)
