Free or Cheap Cereal at WAGS

Well folks, EVERYONE eats cereal and so this weeks deal is for you! WAGS hasn't had a lot of deals these past few weeks but this one is worth mentioning!

At WAGS this week, General Mills Cereal is $2 per box.
If you buy 2 boxes, you'll get $2 RR
Which makes each box $1

Now the ad does say that you have to buy 2 boxes of General Mills Cereal + a gallon of milk, but it's been reported that the RR's are printing without the purchase of the milk.

So $1 a box for cereal is about as good as it gets. But wait! The deal gets even sweeter!

Click HERE to swing over to the Honey Nut Cheerios website. There you can print (so I'm told) a $1/1 Q and a $1/2Q.

Use these coupons to get FREE cereal!!! What better deal can you think of than your kids happy that they don't have to eat Corn Flakes again and you happy that you didn't pay and arm & leg for yummy cereal!

Happy Shopping!

Catch Up

Wow, this week has been soooo busy for us as I'm sure it has been for each of you. With Christmas around the corner and plenty of last minute things to do, I find myself busy each evening with something "last minute" that I'm trying to accomplish before the year is over.

With that being said, I've not had a moment to hit my favorite store Walgreens!! (GASP!)

There are a few deals worth checking out and stocking up on - even though not all are free. Seeing as how I've not yet shopped, but wanted to point my thrifty and few readers in the right direction, please click on THIS LINK to scoot on over to The Thrifty Mama to see what deals she found this week. I'm hopefully going to be swinging by WAGS tonight after work but we'll see!

Happy Shopping and Merry Christmas!

Randomness

Thus far, I'm unimpressed with the deals Walgreens has this week - hence the no posting. I am hoping though, that they'll have another 4 day sale starting tomorrow with LOTS of free goodies - but I'm not yet sure that will happen (at least the lots of goodies part). So stay tuned for that.

And CVS, though they do have some decent deals, I'd much rather refer you over to Keeping the Kingdom first who does a weekly $5 challenge. A fantastic tutorial for newbe's.

So what, you ask, brings me to blog about randomness, a few thoughts pressing on my mind as of late.

I've often believed in the "pay it forward" theory of life. If someone does good to you, you then have an obligation to do good towards others. Tis the Season of being generous to those we love, but why not, be generous to those we don't know.

A few challenges for you this week - and if you actually do accomplish them, please leave me a post on this blog - I honor one person (randomly) with a gift. If you aren't sure how to leave a comment, below this post will be a spot that says "comment" or something similar. Click on it and then leave a comment with your name and experience.

Challenge 1. While shopping (at any location), look around you at what others are purchasing. Then kindly and with reverence (not fan fair), give them at least one coupon that for an item in their cart.

Challenge 2. Show someone you don't know (random person in the store is best) how to get something for cheap or free.

Challenge 3. Help someone in need. Get over your prejudices and help someone less fortunate than yourself.

So now, I commend you all to go forth, showing the world what wonderful people Couponers are and share your talents and kindness and sometimes your RR's with someone else in need.

Wouldn't you want someone to do that for you?

Here is my Scenario:

1. Walk into Walgreens.

3. Walk over towards your pharmacy department and go to the sick isle - not sure where this is, just follow the person coughing all over everything.
4. Walk up to said coughing person and offer them some hand sanitizer that you keep in your purse/bag for just such occassions.
5. Tell sicky that there is an AWESOME deal going on with Theraflu & Triaminic this week. Tell them what the deal is and help them understand how to get great meds for cheap, even without Q's. Then offer them a squirt of your handsantitizer (with a smile of course.)
6. Now, without touching sicky, put 2 Theraflu's in your cart (liquid or packet)
7. Then, put 2 Triaminic's in your cart as well.
8. Walk away from the sick person towards the check out counter.
9. Once away from sicky, use your hand sanitizer on yourself and breath deeply in a non sick isle. Breath in....breath out....breath in....breath out...
10. When at the counter, put your 4 items on the counter.
Cashier will ring up all four items = $20.00 + tax
Give Cashier:
(1) $3/2 Theraflu Q from 10/18 SS = $17 + tax
(2) $3/1 Triaminic Q from 12/6 SS = $11 + tax
NOW Have Cashier Scan:
(1) $2/1 Theraflu Q from Healthy Savings Q booklet (will automatically take $4 off) = $7.00 + tax

Pay $3.00 + tax
Get: $3 RR from Theraflu + $5 RR from Triaminic
Profit: $5.00!!

11. Do the jig as you walk out of the store pumping your arms in the air screaming in your head YOU JUST PAID ME...I AM THE COUPON KING/QUEEN!!
