So I took off for Dollar General last night to see if they really did have the Snuggle Fabric Softener Sheets (dryer sheets) for $3.00 - and sure enough they did!
So I decided to see what else they might have...
I scored:
3 boxes of Snuggle Fabric Softener Sheets @ $3.00 each
4 bags of Pedegree MarrowBone Treats (?) @ $1.50 each
Total: $15.00 + 7% tax = $16.05
Coupons Used:
(3) $3.00 off 1 snuggle product
(4) $1.00 off Pedegree MarrowBone Treats (?)
Total Coupons Used: $13.00
Total Out of Pocket (OOP) $3.05 - Because I still had to pay my tax
Then I headed over to Walgreens. While there I discovered a deal that I've not yet told you about (probably because I didn't know about it either!)
Reynolds Tin Foil 20 feet is on sale for $0.89 with in ad coupon (on page 5 or 6 of this weeks ad).
Last week (or the week before), there was a coupon in the paper for $0.75 off any Reynolds Tin Foil
So this is what I snagged:
(3) Reynolds Tin Foil @ $1.69 each
(2) Trident Layers Gum @ 2/$2.00 - get $1.00 RR back
(1) Chapstick @ $2.99 each - get $3.00 RR back
Total: $10.06 + tax = $10.39
Coupons Used:
(3) $0.80 off Reynolds Tin Foil (Walgreens in Ad coupon)
(3) $0.75 off 1 Reynolds Tin Foil Manufacture Coupon
(2) $0.55 off 1 Trident Gum - Automatically adjusted from $0.75
(1) $2.00 RR
Total Coupons: $7.75
Total OOP: $2.64
RR's Received: $4.00 - $1 from Trident & $3 from Chapstick
Profit: $1.36
I tried to use another RR but I'd already maxed out my alloted # of coupons and there was a really long line so I didn't want to stall any longer - this is generally where a candy bar or cheap item like a pencil comes into play which then allows you to use more RR's to bring the OOP price down.
Total OOP for the Entire Evening: $5.69.
