Double Coupons at K-Mart

After Walgreens, Lindsay and I headed over to K-Mart to see what the whole double coupon thing was all about.  Down here in Florida the concept of "double coupons" is unheard of.  No store in Jacksonville does it, so I wasn't really sure what to expect or how it even worked.  So Lindsay and I headed over with only 30 minutes to really do some shopping and ran around like mad women trying to get all the deals we could in the few minutes we had.  

All in all, I think it turned out pretty good.  Our cashier was 100% annoyed with our coupons and didn't seem to know what to do when one of them wouldn't work.  Eventually we got everything worked out and left a few minutes later than we originally intended.  The deals were so good though, that later tonight, while Ben was at a church meeting, I headed out for a second run - to take my time and really hunt the deals down.

Total: $13.76 ($0.49 tax)

Coupons:

(2) $1.50 coupons DOUBLED = $6.00 - Greased Lightning (Aug. All You Mag)

(1) $1.50 coupon DOUBLED & Adjusted = $2.78 (I don't know why it was adjusted)- Kotex Product (from walmart mail sample)

(1) $2.00 coupon DOUBLED = $4.00 - Gillette (9/28 P&G)

Total Coupons:$12.78

Total OOP: $0.98 ($0.49 tax)

Not Bad....Not Bad at All...
