To all my friends out there in the blogging world, I wanted to tell you of a deal that has come up a number of times lately. Some of you are fairly new to this "coupon world" so this will be the first time you will have the opportunity to stock up.
Dimetapp is on sale at Walgreens for $3.99 each - That price alone is a good deal.
If you purchase 3 dimetapp at $3.99 each, you'll get $10 RR back!
Let's do the math - $3.99 x 3 = 11.97!! Now you pay $11.97 out of pocket and get $10.00 back! So it's like you just paid $1.97 for 3 bottles of cough syrup - which USUALLY retail at $7+ per bottle!! This is an amazing deal.
But wait...it gets even sweeter!
Go to Dimetapp's website and print out a $2.00 off any Dimetapp product coupon. If you print 1 coupon, Walgreens will PAY YOU $0.03!! Print 2 coupons and Walgreens will pay you $2.03 BUT if you print 3 - yes 3 coupons (one for each item) Walgreens will pay you $4.03 to take them off their hands.
HOLY COW Did someone just say "WALGREENS WILL PAY ME TO TAKE PRODUCTS OFF THEIR HANDS?" Yes, my blogging friends, Walgreens did just say that!
So here is how you do it.
1. Go to Dimetapp and register to print one coupon. You must register for EACH coupon you print. No "double" printing on this coupon as each coupon has it's own security code. Then do it two more times!
2. cut out your coupons and pack them in your purse.
3. Go to Walgreens and put 3 dimetapp bottles in your basket.
4. Walk over to the counter and say "hello, how are you today" to the cashier - make him or her feel better about their day.
5. Put your 3 dimetapp's up on the counter. They will ring up to $11.97. You may need to show ID as it's a "drug."
6. Give cashier your 3 coupons.
7. Pay out of pocket $5.97 (plus tax if it applies)
8. Cashier will give you your receipt PLUS a $10.00 Register Reward to use on ANYTHING in the store.
9. Walk away with a big ol' smile on your face and lots of cough syrup!

Yup, I did this today. Works the same with Robitussin--you can print a coupon from their website, too!
Do either of you know what the proceedure is with Rain Checks and RR items? How do those work? Our side of town seems to be out of the Dimetapp - can we get a Rain Check and STILL get the RR or do we have to call the customer support number?
