Walgreens This Week!!

Ok my coupon friends, This week is a great starter week!  New to coupons?  Did you get the Sunday paper - If you did then that's all you need to make THIS WEEK happen! 

At Walgreens Pert Plus is on sale for $3.49!  And Theraflu is on sale for $4.99 each.

Step 1: 

If you got this weeks Sunday Paper then pull out the Smart Source and flip through it.  Eventually you'll come to three coupons.  Coupon #1 will be $2.00 off any Pert Plus, coupon #2 will be $2.00 off any Theraflu and coupon #3 will be right next to the Theraflu coupon as it will be a Theraflu rebate!  Clip these out and head to your nearest Walgreens!

Step 2:

Walk into the store.  Grab a basket and proceed to drop 1 Pert Plus Shampoo, (the kind in the picture above), 3 Theraflu's (your choice) and 1 Alka Seltzer Plus Cold 20 count ORIGINAL flavor (deal only works with original flavor).

Step 3: 

Get in line and once it's your turn - greet your cashier with a friendly Hello! How are you?! Then ask: Do you mind if I break up my purchase into TWO transactions?!  She'll of course say, no that's ok!

Step 4:

Put your Alka Seltzer on the counter (ONLY YOUR ALKA SELTZER)  This will ring up to $4.99 (plus tax).

Step 5: 

Pay for your purchase with either cash, credit, debit or gift card.  If your SUPER LUCKY and have a Register Reward saved up from last week, then use that!

Step 6:

She'll give you your receipt AND a Register Reward (coupon) for $5.00!!  

Step 7:

Put the remaining items on the counter and allow him or her to ring them up.  They should ring up to $18.46 (plus tax).

Step 8:  

In the Walgreen's Easy Saver Catalogue that is located at the front of the store by the newspaper ads, you'll find a coupon for $2.50 off ANY Pert Plus.  Show her the coupon and she'll type the code into the computer.  Your total will now be $15.96 (plus tax).

Step 9:

Give her your $2.00 off Pert Plus Coupon (which will give you $1.00 overage!! - If you wanted to, you could get TWO bottles of pert plus and will break even on the deal!)  Your total is now $13.96

Step 10:

Now give your cashier your $2.00 off Theraflu coupon. (if you get more than one paper, give her up to 3 coupons - but we'll pretend that we only got one paper = one coupon).  Your total will now be $11.96

Step 11:

Give the cashier the $5.00 Register Reward she gave you just a moment before for the Alka Seltzer.  Your total will now be $6.96

Step 12:

Pay $6.96 with cash, credit, debit, gift card or another Register Reward you earned from last week!

Step 13:

The cashier will give you your receipt PLUS a Register Reward for $8.00 off your next order!!

I know your saying to yourself - So that's it right? Because so far, I'm (you) not getting anything for free, and aren't you (me) suppose to show me (you) some type of way to get stuff for free?   

 - Oh yes my friend, remember that Mail in Rebate I had you clip too?  Yep.  Mail that puppy in for an Additional $4.99 back by mail!

So lets break this down old school style:

Pay out of pocket: $12.95 (plus tax)

Walk out the door with $8.00 in Register Rewards towards your next purchase

And Mail in your rebate for an additional $4.99 back 

So when everything is said and done you'll make $0.04 (depending on tax) - FOUR CENTS!  Heck, a penny is a penny and every penny counts!  

Not bad for hard day of shopping!  I love when things are free.  Now....if you had 3 papers, and 3 Theraflu coupons, then you could have in your pocket a total of $4.04 (depending on tax).  Yes my friends, I DO love couponing!!
